How does Medicare work?

The federal government offers Part A and Part B, which are commonly referred to as Original Medicare. It is necessary to be enrolled in Original Medicare before considering additional coverage options such as Medicare Supplement, Part D, or Medicare Advantage.

Do I need additional coverage?

Original Medicare covers hospital and medical services, but not everything. It pays only 80% of covered costs, leaving you responsible for the remaining 20%. It also doesn't include prescription drugs, vision, dental, hearing services, or long-term nursing and home health care.
